We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Tangier. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience managing client accounting files, reconciliations, and closing activities.

⏰ Work Mode: Work From Office — hybrid mode available after 6 months
üíº Role:¬†Senior Accountant
What You'll Do:
üíº Manage and follow up on a portfolio of client accounting files
üßæ Record and control¬†purchase invoices, sales invoices, and financial transactionsüè¶ Process and monitor banking transactions
üîé Perform¬†customer and supplier account reconciliations and lettrageüìä Review general ledger accounts and identify errors, inconsistencies, or unusual transactions
üìã Follow up on suspense accounts, outstanding items, and missing documents
üìÖ Prepare accounting files for¬†monthly, quarterly, and annual closingüìë Prepare the necessary reports and accounting schedules for review
üí∞ Participate in¬†VAT and tax-related activities¬†according to the requirements of each file
ü§ù Communicate with clients to clarify transactions and obtain missing information
‚úÖ Ensure proper documentation, compliance with internal procedures, deadlines, and quality standards
üìà Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
What We're Looking For:
✅ Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within an accounting firm✅ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
✅ Experience with client accounting portfolios and closing activities✅ Good understanding of VAT and tax-related accounting requirements✅ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
✅ Fluent in French with good communication skills in English
