The Security Personnel (Job Grade upon expertise) in EU Region serves as an individual contributor responsible for executing Global Security & Risk Management strategies across European operations. This role focuses on operational security execution, incident management, compliance assurance, and risk mitigation, ensuring alignment with global industrial security standards.
Reporting remotely to the global Security & Risk Management function, the role works closely with EU local management, operations, and key stakeholders to support secure logistics execution. The position acts as a critical bridge for EU security performance and the operational realities.
Key Responsibilities
EU Security Strategy & Compliance
- Support the implementation of global security policies, standards and procedures across EU operations, in alignment with TAPA, C-TPAT, AEO and corporate requirements.
- Conduct security assessments and audits at warehouses, offices and vendor locations, document findings and work with site management on follow-up actions.
- Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and provide status updates to the Global Security & Risk Management function.
- Monitor EU regulatory and compliance requirements and support local teams in maintaining compliance.
Risk Assessment & Incident Management
- Identify, assess and monitor risks related to cargo theft, facility security, transportation routes and supply chain vulnerabilities.
- Support or lead security and safety incident investigations, including evidence collection, root-cause analysis and report preparation using global templates.
- Support incident escalation and coordinate with cross-functional teams, local leadership, law enforcement and insurance partners when required.
Client Engagement & Project Support
- Act as an EU security point of contact for EU-based and global programs and projects, under the guidance of the Global Security & Risk Management function.
- Support the design and execution of end-to-end security plans for sensitive shipments, including route risk reviews and control recommendations.
- Help ensure that client-specific security requirements and internal standards are consistently followed.
Reporting, Documentation & Governance
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc security reports, including audit results, incident summaries, risk observations and KPIs, for local leadership and the Global Security & Risk Management function.
- Maintain accurate security documentation, records and evidence to support audits and certifications.
- Support updates and local adaptations of security procedures in line with corporate governance.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Security Specialist who has a solid foundation in security management and is ready to further develop their expertise within an international logistics environment.
Ideally, you bring:
- 3–5 years of professional experience and a university degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in security management, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding.
- Experience working with international security standards such as TAPA, C-TPAT and AEO.
- Experience working with high-value cargo projects.
- Knowledge of EU regulatory requirements and supply chain security risks.
- Familiarity with warehouse and transportation operations.
- A collaborative mindset, while also being comfortable working independently and managing your own priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
- Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills when handling security and risk-related matters.
- A client-focused approach and the ability to stay organized and responsive when working on demanding projects.
- A high level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
