We are seeking an experienced Security Business Manager to develop and grow an end-to-end security solutions portfolio serving government, defence, critical infrastructure, industrial and commercial customers.
This is a commercially focused role requiring a strong security background, the ability to understand customer requirements, develop the right solutions and partnerships, and convert opportunities into business.
The successful candidate must be capable of operating across physical, electronic and cyber security domains within a highly agile and evolving business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across the security sector.
- Demonstrate a strong end-to-end understanding of cybersecurity principles, including the CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability), identity and access management, network and endpoint security, data protection, vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response and cyber risk, with the ability to incorporate these considerations into integrated security solutions.
- Build relationships with government, defence, critical infrastructure and commercial customers.
- Understand customer security requirements and develop appropriate end-to-end solutions.
- Lead customer engagements, proposals, tenders, presentations and commercial discussions.
- Develop partnerships with security OEMs, technology providers and specialist partners.
- Build and continuously expand the company's security solutions and services portfolio.
- Maintain strong knowledge of physical security, access control, CCTV and analytics, screening, perimeter protection, command-and-control and integrated security systems.
- Maintain good working knowledge of cybersecurity and the convergence of physical and digital security.
- Conduct and support security assessments and translate requirements into commercially viable solutions.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and identify opportunities to introduce new capabilities.
- Coordinate with technical partners and specialists to ensure proposed solutions are practical and deliverable.
- Support pricing, commercial strategy, negotiations and opportunity management.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 15 years of relevant security experience.
- Strong background in military, government, defence, critical infrastructure or professional security environments is highly desirable.
- Preferred certifications: Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CPP, PSP or equivalent security/technology credentials are advantageous.
- Strong commercial and business-development capability with experience engaging senior customers and stakeholders.
- Broad understanding of physical and electronic security technologies, particularly access control and integrated security systems.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity and modern technology-driven security environments.
- Experience working with security OEMs, technology providers or systems integrators is advantageous.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Commercially minded, technically curious and capable of operating effectively in a fast-moving and highly agile business environment.
