We are looking for an SAP Integration Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in both SAP PI/PO and SAP Cloud Integration (CPI). You will design, build, and support end-to-end integration scenarios connecting SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, cloud applications, and third-party systems, including migration of interfaces from PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy interfaces using SAP PI/PO (Process Integration / Process Orchestration) and SAP CPI (SAP Integration Suite – Cloud Integration).
- Build and configure ESR objects (data types, message types, service interfaces, message and operation mappings) and Integration Directory objects (ICOs, communication channels, routing).
- Develop iFlows in SAP CPI using standard adapters and integration patterns such as Content Modifier, Router, Splitter, Multicast, Request-Reply, and Exception Subprocess.
- Implement end-to-end integration scenarios using IDoc, SOAP, REST, SFTP, and OData.
- Develop mappings using Graphical, XSLT, and Java mapping techniques, including UDFs and Groovy scripting in CPI.
- Integrate SAP S/4HANA (Cloud and on-premise) with SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Configure IDoc setup in the backend, including RFC destinations, ports, and partner profiles.
- Implement secure connectivity using OAuth 2.0, certificates, PGP encryption, SSH keys, and SAP Cloud Connector.
- Migrate interfaces from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite.
- Perform monitoring, error handling, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, and deployment guides.
- Support SIT, UAT, go-live, and hypercare, and resolve production issues within SLAs.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on SAP integration experience, with real project delivery in both SAP PI/PO (7.4/7.5) and SAP CPI.
- Strong working knowledge of ESR, Integration Directory, and iFlow development.
- Hands-on experience with IDoc, SOAP, REST, SFTP, and OData adapters.
- Proficiency in XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, and XPath.
- Hands-on experience with Graphical, XSLT, and Java mappings, plus Groovy scripting.
- Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA.
- Solid troubleshooting skills using RWB/NWA in PI/PO and MPL/trace in CPI.
Good to Have
- PI/PO to CPI migration project experience.
- SAP API Management, Event Mesh, or Open Connectors.
- SAP BTP cockpit administration (destinations, role collections, Cloud Connector).
- SuccessFactors, Ariba, or Salesforce integration experience.
- B2B/EDI exposure (TPM, AS2, X12, EDIFACT).
