An international engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Road Design Engineer to join its established design team in Qatar.
This is a head-office-based role, supporting the design, technical delivery and design coordination of major road infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
As a Road Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and delivering detailed road and highway design packages.
- Providing technical input across the design lifecycle, from concept through to detailed design.
- Coordinating road design with drainage, utilities, structures, traffic, geotechnical and other disciplines.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, calculations and technical submissions.
- Working with project managers, discipline leads, clients and contractors to resolve design issues.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
- 10–15 years' relevant experience in road and highway design.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in the design and coordination of major road infrastructure projects.
- Excellent understanding of highway geometry, alignments, junctions, earthworks and associated infrastructure.
- Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environment.
