Role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate Fiker Institute. The Researcher will be responsible for policy development, policy research, utilizing analytical skills, effective communication, and conducting research in the areas of global governance, foreign policy, international affairs, and public policy.

Job Description
- Developing and preparing in-depth analyses of assigned issues at the national, regional,
and global levels; Formulating policy and issue briefs related to recommendations on
assigned programs. Authoring papers and briefing materials in diverse areas of
international and global affairs
- Planning, organizing, and executing high-profile events, conferences, and forums related
to international affairs and culture
- Design and develop event programs that align with the organization's objectives, covering
a wide range of topics within international relations, such as diplomacy, global
governance, conflict resolution, human rights, and sustainable development.
- Identify and invite renowned experts, diplomats, policymakers, academics, and
practitioners as speakers and panelists. Coordinate with invited speakers and participants
to ensure their engagement and smooth participation in the events.
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and utilization of
available resources. Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts, and seek sponsorship
opportunities to maximize financial support for events.
- Researching and authoring regular publications for the different research programmes
within the institute, and conducting research for assigned client projects throughout the
year
- Responsible for researching, proofreading, and publishing both traditional and online
media; including coordination and management of graphic design inputs from team
- Conducting international relations research and studying global trends, foresight analysis,
and regional dynamics
- Developing and preparing in-depth analyses of assigned issues at the national, regional,
and global levels, including external client projects
- Any additional task within research, programming, strategy development, editorial,
editing, and publication realms as assigned by the line manager
Requirements:
• Education: Master's degree in a relevant discipline
• Research experience: at least 3-4 years of experience in research, strategy, or policy consultancy
• Communication and coordination skills: Excellent written and verbal communication
skills, with the ability to interact confidently and diplomatically with diverse stakeholders,
including high-level officials, diplomats, and subject matter experts.
• Networking and relationship building: Proven ability to establish and maintain
relationships with key stakeholders
