About The JobThe Fit-Out Project Specialist will be responsible for managing Baly Groceries store fit-out projects from initial planning and design through construction, equipment installation, handover, and post-launch maintenance.
The role will work closely with contractors, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Security, Store Operations, and other relevant teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with approved designs, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- * Manage store fit-out design, contractors, and construction schedules across assigned sites.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and site trackers.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Manage equipment sourcing, delivery, installation, and testing, including shelving, chillers, freezers, power backup, CCTV, and other operational systems.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, IT, Security, and other relevant teams to ensure all pre-opening requirements are completed.
- Manage contractor quotations, validate scopes of work, and support vendor selection and procurement decisions.
- Track fit-out costs against allocated budgets and monitor project financial performance.
- Manage change requests and ensure scope, cost, and timeline impacts are documented and approved before implementation.
- Conduct snagging, quality checks, and final inspections before handover to Store Operations.
- Track equipment delivery, installation, and testing to ensure all assets are operational before and after launch.
- Manage store maintenance activities after launch and coordinate with relevant vendors and teams.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including approved drawings, schedules, progress reports, site meeting records, warranties, and handover documents.
- Identify project risks and resolve site issues quickly to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
Requirements
- * 3+ years of experience in retail fit-out, construction project management, real estate development, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple contractors and fit-out/construction projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and construction requirements.
- Experience in store maintenance and post-launch support.
- Experience preparing and managing project schedules, progress reports, budgets, and site trackers.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and bias for action.
- Ability to deliver projects within tight timelines while maintaining quality and cost control.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
