Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | Dubai
Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor delivering large scale building projects across the UAE, including high rises, residential towers, commercial and mixed use developments. Due to a strong pipeline of awarded work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
- Manage the commercial side of the project from award through to final account
- Lead subcontractor and supplier procurement, including tender packages, bid comparisons, negotiations and subcontract agreements
- Prepare and submit monthly interim payment applications
- Assess and value variations and prepare supporting substantiation
- Evaluate subcontractor payments and final accounts
- Carry out cost reporting, cash flow forecasting and CVRs
- Identify and manage commercial risk and opportunity
- Support the preparation of claims, including extension of time and prolongation costs
Requirements
- Must be currently based in the UAE
- Minimum 5 years UAE experience as a QS with a main contractor on building projects
- Proven hands on procurement experience is essential
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts
- Experience with both client and subcontractor accounts
