Role Summary:
The role is primarily post-contract focused, responsible for handling and supporting commercial control of projects during execution. It is preferable if the candidate is capable of basic estimation and budget preparation to support pre-contract activities and ensure commercial continuity from tender to award.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Contract (Core Focus):
- Handle and support commercial and cost control aspects from project award to completion
- Prepare and certify interim valuations, progress payments, and payment recommendations
- Assess, price, and substantiate variations and claims
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports
- Manage subcontractor accounts and support final account closure
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Coordinate closely with the design team, project managers, procurement, and site teams
Estimation & Pre-Contract Support (Secondary):
- Prepare and review basic cost estimates and project budgets for upcoming works
- Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications for pricing accuracy
- Support procurement during tender clarifications and commercial evaluations
- Assist with cost benchmarking and rate analysis
- Ensure smooth commercial handover from pre-contract to post-award stages
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- 4–7 years experience in fit-out / interior contracting
- Strong post-contract commercial management exposure
- Basic estimation and cost planning capability is preferred
- Experience with variations, final accounts, and subcontractor payments
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Ability to manage assigned packages / multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Procore software is a big plus
