Al Watania For Industries is Hiring: Quality Technician
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role covers Plastic, CAN Making (Steel & Metal), and Paper products.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished products against specifications
- Perform tests and measurements using calibrated instruments and gauges
- Record inspection results accurately and report deviations immediately
- Identify non-conforming products, support root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions
- Approve first-piece and line startups after setups and changeovers
- Support quality audits and maintain quality documentation
- Follow safety procedures and housekeeping standards at all times
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a quality technician or inspector in Plastic, CAN Making (Steel & Metal), or Paper manufacturing (mandatory)
- Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related field
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and product specifications
- Good record keeping and attention to detail
- Willingness to work shifts
Preferred:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or food-contact quality standards
- Experience with quality checks on production lines during changeovers
