Job Purpose SummaryThe incumbent is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing the IT Enterprise Application Architecture in both development and production environments. The role is responsible for re-engineering existing and new IT applications and products to optimize performance, implement the latest design standards, and adopt the latest technologies. The incumbent also supports the selection of the best development platforms and ensures user requirements are fulfilled using the most effective tools available in the IT market.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities By Dimensions
- * Shareholder & Financial
- Provide comprehensive and cost-effective solutions for internal and external applications.
- Coordinate with AVP Enterprise Architecture to provide architectural recommendations aligned with the Group’s strategy and vision.
- Coordinate with other department heads regarding application changes that may impact their systems.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for Enterprise Applications Architecture.
- Promote cost consciousness, operational efficiency, and productivity.
- Exercise delegated authority and monitor its use by staff.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of financial and non-financial performance drivers of the Bank.
- Customer (Internal & External)
- Meet with internal managers and project owners to understand and document requirements before proposing application solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with departments, business units, and vendors.
- Provide timely and accurate information to internal and external auditors and Compliance as required.
- Assist customers with their queries regarding Bank products and services.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure effective collaboration with related departments to achieve Group objectives.
- Provide required information to Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk functions.
- Internal (Processes, Products & Regulatory)
- Develop and deliver Enterprise Architecture strategy across the organization.
- Utilize industry-standard methodologies such as TOGAF.
- Develop and maintain Enterprise Information Architecture supporting seamless interoperability of banking systems.
- Design and build Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) integration layers to ensure smooth data exchange across systems.
- Maintain all internal systems and vendor dependencies within the Enterprise Architecture tool (Abacus).
- Propose new enterprise architecture standards based on business needs, IT requirements, and technology advancements.
- Assist project teams in implementing approved architecture standards.
- Employ and enforce IT industry standards including ITIL, TOGAF, and COBIT.
- Conduct architecture reviews with development, infrastructure, risk management, and audit teams.
- Research, design, document, build, and pilot enterprise architecture initiatives.
- Lead enterprise architecture projects and design solutions that are scalable and aligned with changing business needs.
- Work closely with Solution Architecture, Infrastructure, and project teams.
- Participate in industry events and represent the Bank where required.
- Identify and address gaps in the Corporate Information/Data Model.
- Monitor emerging technologies and promote relevant innovations to the business.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, internet and VPN security, business continuity, and disaster recovery requirements.
- Perform assignments directed by the Head of IT Strategy & Governance.

Education/Experience Requirements* University degree preferably in:

- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a highly rated international bank.
- Specialized courses in IT Security and Enterprise Architecture.
