We are expanding our procurement team at EMA Ship Management!
Based in Dubai, UAE , we are looking for a detail oriented and dynamic Purchase Officer with hands on marine experience to manage our global marine procurement operations and ensure seamless supply chain execution for our managed fleet.
Role Description & Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement processes for ship spare parts, provisions, marine stores, and technical services in compliance with company standards and international maritime requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with global marine vendors and suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Coordinate closely with technical superintendents, vessel masters, and commercial teams to ensure timely delivery of critical supplies to vessels worldwide.
- Manage purchase orders, invoice verification, and shipping logistics while maintaining accurate procurement records and inventory tracking.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- Mandatory marine experience: Proven working experience as a Purchase Officer or Procurement Specialist specifically within the maritime or shipping industry, with a solid understanding of ship spares and stores.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills tailored to the maritime sector.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for managing complex orders, pricing structures, and global delivery schedules.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
