Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager will oversee all purchasing activities of the company, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services.
This role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and alignment with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures aligned with company goals.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules of services, goods and supplies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with departments to avoid shortages or excess.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, and project management teams to align any purchasing related to the project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor negotiation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems
