Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of Purchase Orders (POs).
- Obtain quotations from suppliers, compare prices, and support negotiations to achieve the best value.
- Create and process POs in accordance with company policies and project timelines.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, quantity, or material discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, quotations, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, warehouse, and other departments to confirm material specifications and quantities.
- Monitor outstanding orders and ensure materials are delivered according to project requirements.
- Assist the procurement team with supplier sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in purchasing/ procurement, preferably within the construction or electrical industry.
- Knowledge of construction materials, electrical products, or cables is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
