Role Description The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions in an on-site setting in Doha, Qatar. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed psychiatric assessments, developing evidence-based treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring medications, and providing psychotherapy as appropriate. The role involves close collaboration with other medical and allied health professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care, including participation in multidisciplinary case discussions. The Psychiatrist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to ethical and regulatory standards, and contribute to patient education and mental health awareness initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires active participation in the center’s quality improvement and best-practice programs.
Qualifications
- * Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, with the ability to integrate medical and psychiatric perspectives in patient care.
- Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of diverse conditions.
- Clinical experience in Adolescent Psychiatry and general Psychiatry, with skill in managing age-specific and culturally sensitive needs.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and recognized specialty training in Psychiatry; board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry preferred.
- Valid license to practice medicine and psychiatry (or eligibility for licensing) in Qatar or the region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered, empathetic approach and commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Ability to maintain thorough, accurate medical records and comply with clinical governance, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.
- Experience in hospital or multidisciplinary clinic settings; prior work in holistic or integrated care environments is an advantage.
- Continuous learning mindset, openness to using new technologies and evidence-based practices in mental health care.
