About the RoleAWI LLC is looking for an experienced Projects Manager to lead the delivery of HVAC projects across Muscat and other regions of Oman. You will run several projects at the same time, from planning and estimation through execution, handover and final account. You will be responsible for each project's technical, commercial and financial performance, and you will lead a multidisciplinary team.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery
- Plan, run and oversee several HVAC projects at once, both inside and outside Muscat, so that each is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality.
- Set up project schedules, resource plans and site logistics for each project, including remote sites where mobilization and supply chains need extra planning.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors from award through testing, commissioning and handover.
- Check that installations comply with approved designs, specifications, local regulations and HSE standards.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Own project budgets, cash flow forecasts and cost control, and report regularly on financial performance against targets.
- Prepare, submit and negotiate variations and claims, including extension-of-time and cost claims, with supporting documentation and entitlement analysis.
- Review contract conditions, identify commercial risks early, and protect the company's position throughout the project.
- Manage interim payment applications, subcontractor valuations and final account settlements.
Estimation & Tendering
- Lead or support the estimation of HVAC tenders, including quantity take-offs, pricing, supplier quotations and value-engineering proposals.
- Review tender documents, drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps, exclusions and risks before submission.
- Make sure the assumptions in the estimate are carried through to project execution and cost control.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor and manage project engineers, site supervisors, foremen and technical staff across several sites.
- Allocate resources between projects to match priorities and deadlines.
- Encourage accountability, clear communication and continuous improvement within the team.
RequirementsMust Have
- At least 15 years of experience in project management in the contracting sector.
- Proven, hands-on HVAC experience covering systems such as chillers, VRF, split and ducted units, ventilation, ductwork and air distribution.
- Strong financial and commercial background, including documented experience with claims, variations and final accounts.
- Solid experience in estimation and tendering for HVAC works
- Track record of managing several projects at the same time, including projects in remote locations.
- Experience leading and developing technical teams.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- GCC experience, ideally in Oman.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar standard forms of contract.
- PMP or an equivalent project management certification.
- Working knowledge of BMS and controls integration.
- Arabic language skills.
- A valid GCC driving license (is preferred)
