We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate research and development (R&D) projects within a complex engineering environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with agreed technical objectives.
Working closely with engineering teams, program stakeholders, and cross-functional partners, you will drive project execution, manage risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is well suited to a project manager with experience in technical product development and a strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including goals, resource allocation, timelines, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
- Monitor project progress and track key milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage project changes and evaluate their impact on timeline, scope, and resources.
- Provide regular project status updates and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Motivate, develop, and support team members to achieve project objectives.
- Collaborate with program managers and related project teams to ensure alignment and avoid duplication of effort.
- Ensure project deliverables support the intended business and technical outcomes.
- Contribute to the adoption and continuous improvement of project management methodologies and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or other leadership roles within a technical or engineering environment.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work primarily on-site.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing research and development (R&D) or product development projects.
- Knowledge of complex engineering systems and technical development processes.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, energy, or heavy engineering environments.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies and organizational Agile transformations.
- Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications).
- Exposure to electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering projects.
