Position: Production Supervisor
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join one of our companies in Qatar, specializing in the manufacturing of Fire-Rated and Non-Fire-Rated Doors, Windows, Cabinets, Kahramaa Doors, Fire-Rated Hardware, and Fire-Rated Glass.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to ensure production targets, schedules, and quality standards are achieved.
- Manage and monitor production teams, including manpower allocation, attendance, productivity, and work performance.
- Ensure production activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Monitor the manufacturing process and ensure products are completed on time and according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality Control, Procurement, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of raw materials, tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Identify production delays, quality issues, material shortages, and operational problems and take appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures within the production area.
- Conduct regular inspections of production activities and ensure proper housekeeping and workplace organization.
- Monitor production performance and prepare daily/weekly production reports, including output, productivity, downtime, wastage, and production issues.
- Train, guide, and motivate production staff to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Minimize material wastage, rework, and production downtime.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of production machinery and equipment.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all finished products are properly inspected and transferred to the next stage or dispatch upon completion.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably in doors, windows, steel/stainless steel fabrication, fire-rated products, metal fabrication, or building materials.
- Proven experience in production supervision and shop-floor team management.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, manpower planning, quality control, and production scheduling.
- Experience working with technical drawings, production specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements and workplace safety procedures.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and production/ERP systems.
- Strong ability to coordinate effectively with different departments.
- English communication skills are required; Arabic would be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in fire-rated doors and related products will be highly preferred.
- Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID are preferred.
