About Amalfi FoodsAmalfi Foods is a growing food manufacturing company based in Bahrain, specializing in innovative bakery and confectionery products, including pancakes, waffles, croissants, bread, and other baked goods.
As we continue to expand our manufacturing capabilities and regional presence, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities, ensure operational efficiency, maintain product quality, and lead our production teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- * Supervise daily production operations across assigned manufacturing lines.
- Ensure production targets are achieved according to approved production schedules.
- Monitor production output, line efficiency, downtime, and material utilization.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager to ensure effective manpower and machine allocation.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Manage shift handovers and maintain accurate production records.

Team Supervision & Leadership
- * Lead, supervise, and motivate production operators, machine operators, and line workers.
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities based on production requirements.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, discipline, and performance.
- Provide on-the-job training and ensure operators follow established procedures.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper shift organization and effective communication between teams.

Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- * Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, FSSC 22000, and company food safety procedures.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain product specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor critical production parameters, including temperature, weight, baking conditions, cooling, and packaging integrity.
- Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, allergen management, and traceability procedures.
- Immediately report product defects, contamination risks, or deviations from approved standards.
- Support corrective and preventive actions to reduce quality-related incidents.

Production Efficiency & Waste Reduction
- * Identify opportunities to improve line productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and minimize raw material waste, product rejection, and packaging losses.
- Track production downtime and coordinate with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues.
- Monitor production yields and ensure efficient utilization of ingredients and resources.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs.
- Support improvements in production processes, machine performance, and workflow.

Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
- * Ensure production equipment is operated safely and according to approved procedures.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Report machine breakdowns and technical issues promptly.
- Verify machine readiness before production starts.
- Ensure proper cleaning, inspection, and shutdown procedures are followed.

Reporting & Documentation
- * Prepare daily production reports covering output, efficiency, downtime, waste, and manpower.
- Maintain accurate records of raw material consumption and finished goods output.
- Report production deviations, operational challenges, and corrective actions.
- Monitor production KPIs and provide regular updates to management.
- Ensure production transactions and material usage are accurately recorded in the company's ERP system.
Qualifications & Requirements Diploma or bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years of production experience*, preferably in industrial bakeries or FMCG food manufacturing.
* At least 2 years of experience supervising production teams.
* Experience operating or supervising automated and semi-automated manufacturing lines.
* Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and manufacturing quality standards.
* Knowledge of production planning, manpower allocation, and production efficiency.
* Ability to troubleshoot production problems and coordinate technical solutions.
* Familiarity with ERP systems; Odoo experience is an advantage.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple production priorities.
* Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and extended production hours when required.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial bakery manufacturing, including bread, buns, croissants, pancakes, cakes, or similar products.
- Automated baking, cooling, conveying, filling, and packaging systems.
- Lean manufacturing, 5S, OEE monitoring, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Experience supporting new production line commissioning and startup.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)The Production Supervisor will be evaluated based on:
- Production Target Achievement: Actual production versus planned production.
- Line Efficiency: Output, operating efficiency, and equipment utilization.
- Production Waste: Material losses, product rejection, and yield performance.
- Downtime Reduction: Unplanned stoppages and corrective action effectiveness.
- Product Quality: Compliance with approved product specifications and food safety standards.
- Manpower Productivity: Effective labor utilization and output per employee.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adherence to GMP, hygiene, and operational procedures.
- Reporting Accuracy: Timely and accurate production and ERP documentation.
