We are currently hiring a Production Engineer for one of our clients, a growing company specialized in Furniture Manufacturing and Hospitality Projects, based in Mivida, Fifth Settlement – New Cairo.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer with a strong background in wood and furniture manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and meeting project deadlines.
Experience in wooden furniture, hospitality furniture, hotel projects, contract furniture, or custom-made furniture is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities and ensure production plans are executed efficiently.
- Prepare and follow up on production schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with the Technical Office, Procurement, Quality, and Installation teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Ensure that production activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor workflow, manpower, material availability, and productivity.
- Identify production challenges, resolve operational issues, and minimize delays and rework.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize waste during manufacturing.
- Supervise wooden furniture and custom-made furniture manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with production procedures and quality requirements.
- Track production progress and provide regular updates to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Production, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in production engineering.
- Mandatory previous experience in wood and furniture manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking and furniture manufacturing processes.
- Experience with hospitality, hotel, contract, or custom-made furniture is preferred.
- Good understanding of production planning, workflow management, and quality control.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a project-based, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
