DUTIES
• Hand sketching for new concepts.
• Creating detailed and thorough orthographic shop drawings for products
• Utilizing Sketchup, Rhino, Podium and/or Keyshot for 3D renderings of products.
• Coordinate with Interiors department on their furniture and product development related projects.
• Responsible for keeping a detailed production schedule for weekly outside production meetings for both our internal design team.
• Weekly/Monthly outside supplier visits within Cairo in overseeing product development and production.
• Daily supplier correspondence and coordination.
• Assist with coordinating logistics pertaining to product development and production.
• Ability to execute quality control inspections with a critical eye.
• Manage and maintain design assets and material library to maximize efficient location and retrieval by Wonder Agency team.
• Create Excel spreadsheets for product specifications.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• 2-4 years in high-end product development.
• Demonstrate expertise in AutoCAD.
• Strong hand-sketching skills.
• Digital 3D modeling capabilities in programs such as SketchUp, Rhino or AutoCad 3D. Experience with 3D printing is a plus.
• Understanding of construction and materiality. Hands on furniture/product/installations making experience a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of luxury, high-end product design.
• Portfolio showing experience with innovative designs.
• Highly organized with a strong work ethic, great attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and take initiative.
• Ability to multitask and effectively meet tight deadlines.
