We are currently hiring a Product Compliance Officer on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Dubai office.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Product Certification & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate product certification activities for consumer electronics products.
- Prepare and submit certification applications to regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
- Maintain certification validity and renewal schedules.
- Review product documentation to ensure compliance with country-specific regulations.
- Support market access activities for new product launches.
2. Regulatory Surveillance
- Continuously monitor new and revised regulations affecting consumer electronics.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on existing and future products.
- Prepare compliance summaries and recommendations for management.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are informed of regulatory updates.
3. Technical Documentation Management
Review and maintain:
- Test Reports
- CB Reports
- EMC Reports
- Safety Reports
- MSDS
- Certificates of Conformity
- Declarations of Conformity
- Energy Efficiency documents
- Ensure all compliance documents remain current and readily accessible.
4. Process Improvement & SOP Development
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Standardize compliance workflows across multiple countries.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce certification lead time.
- Support digitalization and automation initiatives for compliance activities.
5. Internal Stakeholder Support
Provide compliance support to:
- Marketing
- Sales
- Supply Chain
- Logistics
- Customer Service
- Product Planning
- Regional Offices
Including:
- Product registration requirements
- Import documentation
- Compliance documentation
- Technical certificates
- Regulatory inquiries
6. External Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with:
- Government authorities
- Certification agencies
- Accredited laboratories
- Customs authorities
- Business partners
- External consultants
to obtain approvals and resolve compliance-related issues.
7. Compliance Database Management
- Maintain product certification databases.
- Monitor certificate expiry dates.
- Generate compliance status reports.
- Ensure proper document version control.
8. Risk Management
- Identify potential compliance risks.
- Escalate critical issues proactively.
- Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist during internal and external compliance audits.
Skills & Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communications Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Certification, or Quality Assurance within:
- Consumer Electronics
- Electrical Products
- Home Appliances
- Telecommunications
- Manufacturing
Experience with international certification activities is highly preferred.
