The Procurement Specialist role is to ensure that the supply chain needs of a company are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. Procurement specialists review costs, develop relationships with vendors and suppliers, and offer suggestions for where and how much material and supplies to buy.
- Operation
- Identify suppliers of goods and services
- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc. to achieve the best possible saving to the company.
- Monitor and continuously update the master plan to obtain the best possible prices relevant to the company's needs
- Request quotations, compare prices, and evaluate offers from technical and financial stand point with suppliers and contractors
- Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
- Responsible for supplier communication to resolve transactional issues.
- Communicate with the purchasing department to issue the purchase orders agreed on with the suppliers.
- Work with team members, supervisors, and project managers to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors.
- Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
- Record savings, follow-up on prequalification documents to make sure our department's savings and documents are available at all times
Requirements
- * Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of Experience.
- Excellent Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PPT).
- Languages: Arabic & English fluently spoken and written.
