Job Opening: Procurement Manager – Medical Devices
Osus Al-Ibdaa Medical Company is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the medical devices and healthcare sector to lead and manage the company’s procurement operations.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in medical procurement, international sourcing, supplier negotiations, inventory planning, and import & logistics operations, particularly across surgical devices, surgical consumables, sutures, endoscopy, urology, and related medical products.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical procurement, with proven managerial or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical devices, surgical products, consumables, sutures, endoscopy, urology, and related product categories.
- Proven experience in international sourcing, supplier evaluation, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong negotiation skills with international manufacturers and suppliers.
- Solid understanding of international trade, import procedures, and Saudi import regulations.
- Hands-on experience with sea and air freight, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and freight forwarders.
- Strong experience managing POs, RFQs, quotations, lead times, payment terms, MOQs, and delivery schedules.
- Experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and stock replenishment.
- Strong understanding of landed cost calculation, cost control, and margin optimization.
- Experience working with suppliers across China, Europe, Korea, USA, and other international markets is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of SFDA requirements is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the company’s medical procurement function and strategy.
- Develop procurement plans aligned with sales forecasts, tenders, inventory requirements, and business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQs, exclusivity, price protection, and commercial agreements.
- Oversee the complete procurement cycle from RFQ and purchase order through shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery.
- Manage and monitor international shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs clearance teams.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing stock-outs, excess inventory, and slow-moving stock.
- Monitor landed costs, procurement margins, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely availability of products for government tenders and private-sector business.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvements.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Tenders, Warehouse, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Logistics teams.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, reports, and performance indicators.
