Role Description The Pricing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Schiphol-Rijk. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining competitive pricing strategies for air freight and related logistics services, ensuring alignment with market conditions and company profitability targets. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing cost structures and market rates, preparing customer quotations, reviewing carrier and supplier tariffs, and updating internal pricing tools and databases. The Pricing Manager collaborates closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to support tenders, contract negotiations, and key account proposals, and provides timely pricing insights and recommendations. The role also involves monitoring margin performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, and contributing to process improvements in pricing workflows and policies.
Qualifications
- Experience in freight, logistics, or transportation pricing, including analysis of rates, margins, and cost structures.
- Strong skills in data analysis and use of spreadsheets or pricing tools, with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, operations, and finance teams, and communicate pricing decisions clearly.
- Knowledge of air freight or logistics industry practices, market trends, and carrier or supplier tariff structures.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple quotations, deadlines, and tender requirements.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch or other European languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment at Schiphol-Rijk and adapting to evolving customer and market needs.
