Mantis is a specialist structural engineering company providing post-tensioning and concrete repair and strengthening solutions across the UAE. We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer with practical post-tensioning design experience.
Responsibilities
- Design post-tensioned slabs, beams and transfer structures.
- Prepare design calculations, tendon layouts and technical submissions.
- Review architectural and structural drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, draftsmen and project teams.
- Respond to technical comments and obtain design approvals.
- Prepare value-engineering proposals and design alternatives.
- Check shop drawings, openings, penetrations and construction details.
- Provide technical support during installation, stressing and site execution.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of structural design experience, including direct post-tensioning design.
- Proficiency in RAM Concept, ADAPT, SAFE, ETABS or similar structural-design software.
- Good AutoCAD skills; Revit experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PTI, ACI, BS or Eurocode requirements.
- Ability to prepare clear calculations and respond professionally to consultant comments.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
- Currently in the UAE and available for a face-to-face interview is preferred.
