Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plant & Equipment Inspector to perform in-service inspection of plant equipment and piping within refinery and petrochemical facilities. The role involves conducting inspections, using appropriate inspection tools, preparing technical reports, and providing recommendations to support equipment integrity and safe plant operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-service inspection of plant equipment and piping in refinery/petrochemical facilities.
- Perform inspection of equipment and piping using appropriate inspection tools and techniques.
- Review inspection findings and identify potential defects, deterioration, or integrity concerns.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and technical documentation.
- Provide technical recommendations based on inspection findings.
- Ensure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with applicable API standards and project requirements.
- Support equipment integrity and reliability through effective inspection and reporting.
- Maintain proper inspection records and documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
- Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in refinery/petrochemical plant in-service inspection.
- Minimum two valid API certifications from:
- API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector
- API 570 – Piping Inspector
- API 653 – Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector
- Familiarity with API 598, API 572, API 576 and other relevant inspection standards.
- Hands-on experience in equipment and piping inspection.
- Experience with inspection tools, technical reporting, and preparation of inspection recommendations.
