Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physics Teacher role based in Doha, Qatar. The Physics Teacher will plan, deliver, and assess engaging physics lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching physics concepts using a variety of instructional methods, integrating relevant mathematics, and designing practical demonstrations or laboratory activities where applicable. The teacher will evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, participating in school meetings and professional development, and supporting a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Physics and Physics Education, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including structuring units, aligning objectives with assessments, and adapting lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Solid foundation in Mathematics relevant to school-level physics instruction.
- Demonstrated Teaching skills, including classroom management, student engagement, and the use of varied instructional strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Physics Education, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience teaching physics in a school setting, preferably at middle or high school level.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and ongoing professional development.
