Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Cairo. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, review prescriptions for appropriateness, and provide clear counseling to patients on dosage, side effects, and proper medication use. Daily responsibilities include checking for drug interactions, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards. The role also involves managing inventory, monitoring medication stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers to avoid shortages. The Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals, support over-the-counter product selection, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and service-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- * Licensed Pharmacist with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Pharmacy from an accredited institution; eligibility for registration with relevant local regulatory authorities.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage forms, and medication safety, with the ability to apply clinical judgment in day-to-day practice.
- Proficiency in prescription review, patient counseling, and medication therapy education, including clear and empathetic communication with diverse patient populations.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems, dispensing software, and maintaining accurate documentation and records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to all legal and professional standards in pharmaceutical care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, and to contribute positively to a team-based culture.
- Willingness to work on-site in Cairo, with flexibility for shift work, weekends, or extended hours as required by pharmacy operations.
- Previous experience in retail or community pharmacy is preferred; familiarity with health insurance processes and reimbursement is an advantage.
