Role Description The Pharmacist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, verify dosages, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions, as well as answering health-related questions in a clear and respectful manner. The role also involves managing inventory, checking expiry dates, organizing stock, and supporting the implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures. The Pharmacist will collaborate with pharmacy assistants, other healthcare professionals, and management to maintain high standards of patient care and service quality.
Qualifications
* Relevant pharmacy degree (B.Pharm or PharmD) and valid license to practice as a Pharmacist in Egypt.
* Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and prescription interpretation.
* Ability to provide clear, empathetic patient counseling and maintain professional communication with healthcare providers.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing, record-keeping, and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
* Experience with pharmacy management systems, basic computer skills, and familiarity with inventory control processes.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize patient safety.
* Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to local healthcare and pharmacy laws.
* Previous experience in community or retail pharmacy is preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
