To perform, evaluate, and report Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) on welded joints and critical components during offshore construction and installation activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements, while strictly adhering to offshore HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities1. PAUT Inspection Activities
2. Equipment Setup & Calibration* Set up and calibrate PAUT equipment including:
+ Phased array probes and wedges
+ Encoders and scanners (manual / semi?automated)
3. Data Acquisition & Interpretation* Perform data acquisition and analysis using PAUT software
* Interpret A?Scan, B?Scan, C?Scan and S?Scan data
* Detect, evaluate, and size discontinuities such as:
+ Lack of fusion
+ Lack of penetration
+ Cracks
+ Porosity and inclusions
4. Reporting & Documentation* Prepare accurate and timely:
+ PAUT reports
+ Scan plans and data files
+ Repair and re?inspection reports
- Ensure full traceability of welds and inspection records
- Support mechanical completion, pre?commissioning, and dossier handover
