Job Role: Network Security Specialist
Job Purpose: To maintain and operate the network security infrastructure solutions, respond to business
incident, support the shutdown requirements, and handle the vulnerability management
remediation on the network security devices. fulfil the business users requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- * Analyzing network performance: Diagnose and resolve issues related to network performance. This includes analyzing network traffic, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing solutions to improve network speed and reliability.
- Designing network architecture: Design the architecture of a network that meets the organization's needs. This includes selecting hardware and software components, configuring network protocols, and ensuring that the network can scale to accommodate future growth.
- Installing and configuring network security equipment: Install and configure network hardware, including firewalls, IPS, etc.. This includes configuring network protocols, setting up security policies, and testing the network to ensure it is operating correctly.
- Maintaining network security: Ensure that the network is secure from outside threats, including hacking, malware, and phishing attacks. This includes setting up firewalls, network admission control, and other security measures to protect the network and its data.
- Monitoring network performance: Monitor network performance and identify issues before they become major problems. This includes monitoring network traffic, analyzing logs, and identifying potential security breaches.
- Providing technical support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting network issues and resolving problems with hardware and software.
- Documenting network configurations: Document the network architecture, including hardware and software configurations, network protocols, and security policies. This documentation is essential for troubleshooting network issues and ensuring that the network can be easily maintained and upgraded in the future.
- Supporting security infrastructure operations: Provide continuous hands-on monitoring, incident troubleshooting, connectivity issue resolution, and administration & maintenance of critical security technologies, including firewalls, IPS, VPN, proxy servers, web application firewalls, DNS security, multifactor authentication, AAA, and mail gateways, to maintain service availability, resilience, and secure project delivery.
Mandatory Requirements (Qualification/Experience)
- * 10 years of experience with asset inventory and management
- Ability to use ITSM tools BMC-Remedy
- Ability to balance multiple concurrent activities and manage time efficiently
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Quality assurance and quality control
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office, MS Visio, and MS PowerPoint
