Position Summary:
The Network & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AIGC’s, Client’s, and project’s network and IT infrastructure.
The position supports enterprise network infrastructure, firewalls, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and infrastructure monitoring across on-premises, cloud, and project environments.
The role will work closely with IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Application, and Project Delivery teams to ensure that infrastructure environments are secure, reliable, scalable, highly available, and aligned with business and project requirements.
The position will also support the planning and deployment of Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments and contribute to infrastructure documentation, operational readiness, and disaster recovery activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
2.1 Network Infrastructure
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain switches, routers, wireless access points, and related network devices.
- Configure and manage VLANs, trunking, STP, routing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP services.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
- Perform network upgrades, expansions, and technology refresh activities.
- Maintain network diagrams, IP addressing documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
- Support wired and wireless infrastructure for corporate and project environments.
- Ensure network infrastructure is designed and operated according to approved security and architecture standards.
2.2 Firewall & Network Security
- Configure and administer next-generation firewalls (NGFW).
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, security rules, and access controls.
- Support IPS/IDS, network segmentation, DMZ, and secure remote-access solutions.
- Implement appropriate controls to protect infrastructure against unauthorized access and security threats.
- Support secure IT/OT connectivity and segmentation where required.
- Review firewall and network security configurations periodically.
- Work with cybersecurity teams to investigate and resolve security alerts and vulnerabilities.
- Support security hardening and compliance requirements.
2.3 Server & Operating System Administration
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
- Perform initial server configuration, including RAID configuration, OS installation, and system readiness.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and related infrastructure services.
- Perform server patching, updates, hardening, and configuration management.
- Monitor server health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Support server migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure servers comply with approved security baselines and operational standards.
2.4 Virtualization & Data Center Infrastructure
- Configure and maintain virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware.
- Support virtual machine provisioning, configuration, migration, and lifecycle management.
- Support high-availability and fault-tolerant infrastructure environments.
- Monitor virtualization hosts, virtual machines, and resource utilization.
- Support storage integration and virtualization infrastructure.
- Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and resource optimization.
2.5 Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Maintain and monitor storage infrastructure and associated services.
- Configure and monitor backup and recovery solutions.
- Perform backup verification and periodic restore testing.
- Support replication and redundancy mechanisms.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
- Support infrastructure recovery activities during incidents.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for backup, recovery, and DR procedures.
- Support high-availability and business continuity requirements.
2.6 Cloud Infrastructure
- Support the deployment and administration of infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.
- Configure cloud networking, compute, storage, security, and connectivity services.
- Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and resource utilization.
- Support cloud backup, redundancy, availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Assist with cloud migration and infrastructure optimization activities.
2.7 Monitoring & IT Operations
- Monitor infrastructure health and availability.
- Use infrastructure and network monitoring tools to identify issues proactively.
- Investigate incidents and perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Respond to infrastructure incidents within defined service levels.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities.
- Identify recurring infrastructure issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain operational dashboards and infrastructure health reports.
2.8 Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement infrastructure security controls and approved security baselines.
- Support vulnerability assessment, patch management, and remediation activities.
- Perform server and network hardening.
- Support compliance with organizational security policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain infrastructure security documentation.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
- Support implementation of network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and other security controls where applicable.
2.9 Project Delivery
- Support infrastructure activities throughout the project lifecycle from design through implementation and handover.
- Review infrastructure requirements and prepare technical recommendations.
- Support infrastructure sizing, BOM preparation, and technical specifications.
- Install and configure infrastructure components for project environments.
- Prepare and maintain Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Coordinate infrastructure activities with Project Delivery, Application, Cybersecurity, and other technical teams.
- Prepare installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Participate in project testing, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness activities.
2.10 Documentation
- Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation.
- Develop and update network diagrams and topology documentation.
- Maintain server, firewall, virtualization, storage, and cloud configuration records.
- Prepare installation and configuration procedures.
- Document incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity documentation.
- Ensure documentation is updated following infrastructure changes.
- Required Technical Competencies
Networking
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, routing, switching, STP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architecture.
- Experience with enterprise wired and wireless networks.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and develop network topology diagrams.
Network Security
- Strong knowledge of firewall administration.
- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, or equivalent security technologies.

Servers & Systems
- Windows Server administration.
- Linux administration, preferably Ubuntu/Red Hat or equivalent.

Virtualization
