The RoleWe are seeking a Network Engineer / Telecommunications Specialist / Telecommunications Engineer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of network and telecommunications environments.
The role combines technical problem-solving with coordination across internal teams, service providers, and technology stakeholders. You will contribute to network reliability, infrastructure improvements, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical initiatives while working within a flexible, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- * Design, configure, maintain, and optimize network and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, availability, connectivity, and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot network, connectivity, routing, switching, and telecommunications issues.
- Support LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and related communication environments.
- Coordinate technical activities with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in network upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and technology projects.
- Review network performance and identify opportunities for optimization and capacity improvement.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, configurations, diagrams, and operational records.
- Support network security practices and help identify potential infrastructure risks.
- Provide technical guidance, communicate issues clearly, and contribute to effective remote collaboration.
Requirements
- * Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in network engineering, telecommunications, or a closely related technical environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and connectivity technologies.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networking, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and incident resolution.
- Proficiency in diagnosing technical connectivity and infrastructure problems.
- Understanding of network security principles and infrastructure best practices.
- Ability to manage technical tasks independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with modern networking technologies and the ability to adapt to evolving technical environments.
