Network Engineer – Erbil/Shorsh Branch
Bank of Baghdad is looking for a qualified and motivated Network Engineer to join our Information Technology team in Erbil.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues.
- Manage and maintain WAN and VPN connections.
- Implement and maintain network security policies and controls.
- Support network expansion and connectivity projects across branches.
- Coordinate with telecommunications providers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
- Prepare and maintain technical network documentation.
- Participate in network-related Disaster Recovery (DR) testing.
- Provide network support to branches across the Northern Region when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering or network administration.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent technologies.
- Good knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.
- Practical experience with WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability and willingness to travel between branches in the Northern Region when required.
- Good command of Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
- Previous experience in the banking or financial sector is considered an advantage.
Working Hours
- 5-day workweek: Sunday to Thursday
- Sunday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
