Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Millwright Technician role based in Qatar. The Millwright Technician will install, align and inspect mechanical equipment and machinery used in Oil & Gas facilities, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and rotating equipment. Daily responsibilities include executing mechanical adjustments and alignments, and documenting activities in accordance with project and QatarEnergy-aligned procedures. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical issues, interpret technical drawings and manuals, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary site teams to support safe and efficient operations in live and construction environments. The role also involves adhering to strict HSE requirements, participating in toolbox talks, and supporting continuous improvement in reliability and asset performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and installation of mechanical and rotating machinery in industrial or Oil & Gas environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in inspections, lubrication, and alignment.
- Relevant technical diploma or trade certification in Mechanical, Millwright, or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 - 7 years working experience in EPC or Oil & Gas projects, preferably in QatarEnergy-aligned or similar HSE-critical environments.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, familiarity with permit-to-work systems, and adherence to site HSE standards.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians on site.
