Job Summary
The Middle Office Analyst supports the Special Projects team at Qatar Stock Exchange, with responsibility for the periodic processing, reconciliation, and reporting of investment, market, and operational data using internal systems and external data providers. The role combines data quality monitoring and the investigation of discrepancies from alternative data sources with the production of clear, polished, and visually engaging presentation materials for senior stakeholders and other documents.
Roles And Responsibilities
Data Processing & Reconciliation
- Perform weekly, or as required, reconciliation of market positioning.
- Process and reconcile investment, market, and operational data using internal systems and external data providers.
- Collect, store, and maintain financial and economic data.
- Monitor data quality and investigate discrepancies identified from alternative data sources.
Reporting
- Produce weekly, or as required, initiative status reports.
- Produce weekly, or as required, risk reports.
- Interrogate and analyze all reporting and underlying data to ensure accuracy.
Presentation & Stakeholder Materials
- Produce board-level presentation materials on a periodic basis.
- Produce senior external stakeholder reporting materials on a periodic basis.
- Prepare clear, polished, and visually engaging presentations and documents suitable for external audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong ability to create highly polished, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and documents suitable for external stakeholders, with a high standard of design and visual storytelling.
- Understanding of financial data and concepts, such as traded value, returns, and free float.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including arithmetic operations, data lookups, sorting, and data manipulation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in documents, graphics, numbers, and formatting.
- Good awareness of the GCC region, including its key public companies, business and political landscape, and the differences in markets, cultures, priorities, and perspectives across GCC countries.
