Role OverviewThe MEP Coordinator Engineer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, testing and commissioning of MEP works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, client specifications, project requirements and UAE regulations.
Core ResponsibilitiesReview MEP design drawings, material submittals, procedures and calculations.
Coordinate builder's work drawings with MEP contractors.
Verify material quantity take-offs and prepare RFQ documentation.
Prepare method statements for MEP and site activities.
Supervise MEP contractors and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Coordinate HVAC, Fire Fighting, Overhead Cranes, Lighting & Small Power installations.
Supervise testing, FAT and commissioning activities.
Ensure required civil provisions for MEP works are completed on schedule.
Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements and local regulations.
Coordinate with clients/consultants and obtain necessary approvals and work permits.
Plan site activities, monitor material deliveries and coordinate contractors to achieve project milestones.
Monitor progress and proactively address potential delays.
Lead bi-weekly MEP coordination meetings with subcontractors.
Follow up on consultant/client comments, snags and punch-list closure.
Maintain site documentation including RFC drawings, inspections, site notes and snag records.
Prepare red-line mark-ups, as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Support resolution of MEP defects during the warranty period.
Key Qualifications✅ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering✅ Minimum 10 Years Of Relevant Experience✅ Proven experience in substation projects of varying size, complexity and contract types.
✅ Previous UAE project experience is mandatory.
✅ Strong design coordination experience involving HVAC chiller systems and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems.
✅ Experience with Oil & Gas offshore projects.
✅ Previous experience working on ADNOC substation projects is highly preferred/required.
