Role Description The MEP Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination across construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing design drawings, coordinating MEP layouts with architectural and structural plans, and resolving clashes and discrepancies before and during installation. The role involves leading coordination meetings with project stakeholders, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring that MEP works comply with local codes, standards, and project specifications. The MEP Coordinator will monitor progress on-site, support contractors with technical guidance, maintain updated BIM and coordination models, and report regularly on MEP-related issues, risks, and milestones.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in MEP Coordination, with experience aligning mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multidisciplinary teams.
* Technical proficiency in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including design review and practical implementation.
* Hands-on knowledge of Plumbing and Building Services, with the ability to interpret and validate related drawings and specifications.
* Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for clash detection, model coordination, and documentation.
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
* Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and safety regulations relevant to MEP works in Cairo.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with contractors, consultants, and clients on-site.
* Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and deliver coordinated solutions within project deadlines.
