Seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting the design and development of physical products
This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of mechanical design projects, working with manufacturing and other departments, and bringing products and engineering improvements from concept through implementation.
What You'll Do
- Lead mechanical design engineering projects with a strong focus on precision and detail
- Design and model products and assemblies using SolidWorks and/or Inventor
- Create engineering documentation, including test plans, reports and technical documentation
- Review engineering drawings and documentation using GD&T standards
- Support product development involving welded parts and assemblies
- Develop and maintain BOMs and engineering change documentation
- Work with PDM/PLM and ERP systems to support engineering and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and process improvements
- Create presentations and communicate technical information to internal teams
- Mentor junior engineers on engineering standards and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Experience leading design engineering projects
- Professional experience with SolidWorks and/or Inventor
- Experience with PDM systems
- Strong technical documentation and reporting skills
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and applying GD&T
- Experience with welded parts and assemblies
- Experience with BOMs and engineering change documentation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and manufacturing
Nice to Have
- Electromechanical product design experience
- Experience with D365, Agile, Teamcenter or similar systems
- Marine or waterfront product experience
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
