Role Description The Math Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Erbil, responsible for planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching math concepts to different grade levels, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, maintaining accurate records of assessments, and communicating regularly with parents and guardians as required. The Math Teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, participate in school meetings and professional development, and contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt content to various grade levels.
* Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing structured units, assessments, and learning activities.
* Status as a Qualified Teacher, with formal training in teaching methods and classroom management.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
* Previous experience teaching mathematics in a school setting, preferably at primary or secondary level.
* Ability to create an inclusive, supportive classroom that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and use of modern, student-centered teaching strategies.
