About the Role
Reef Group is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Market Research & Trends Specialist to join the Marketing Department in Riyadh.
The role will be responsible for analyzing market trends, customer behavior, competitor activity, and category developments to generate insights that support marketing strategy, brand positioning, product direction, and business decision-making.
The ideal candidate should have strong research and analytical skills, a good understanding of consumer markets, and the ability to translate data and market observations into clear and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer, category, and industry trends.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, product launches, campaigns, and market positioning.
- Track emerging trends across beauty, fragrance, fashion, retail, and consumer markets.
- Analyze customer behavior, preferences, purchase patterns, and market opportunities.
- Prepare market intelligence reports, presentations, and trend summaries for management and relevant departments.
- Support Marketing and Product teams with insights related to new products, campaigns, customer segments, and market opportunities.
- Conduct benchmarking studies across local, regional, and international competitors.
- Identify potential market gaps, emerging customer needs, and new growth opportunities.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from different research sources.
- Support customer surveys, market studies, focus groups, and other research activities when required.
- Translate complex research findings into clear business recommendations.
- Maintain updated market, competitor, and trend databases.
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, Commercial, Retail, E-commerce, and Strategy teams.
- Monitor cultural, social, digital, and consumer trends that may impact the Group’s brands and customer behavior.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Market Research, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Market Research, Consumer Insights, Market Intelligence, Trends Research, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights.
- Experience in competitor analysis, market trends, consumer behavior, and market intelligence.
- Experience within retail, beauty, fragrance, fashion, FMCG, consumer goods, research agencies, or consulting is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with research, analytics, or data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Strong presentation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple research projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Arabic and English communication skills.
