Role Description This full-time, on-site role is based at Roti & Kabab in Al Wakrah, Qatar. The Manager Supervisor / Cashier / Captain Waiter is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, including supervising service staff, coordinating table assignments, and ensuring guests receive timely and courteous service. The role includes handling cashier duties such as processing payments, managing the cash register, and maintaining accurate transaction records. Day-to-day tasks involve greeting and seating guests, taking orders, coordinating with kitchen staff, checking food quality and presentation, and resolving guest concerns professionally. The individual in this role also helps train new team members, supports scheduling, monitors adherence to hygiene and safety standards, and assists with inventory and basic reporting as needed.
Qualifications
* Strong customer service skills, including professional communication, conflict resolution, and guest-focused behavior.
* Experience in restaurant operations such as supervising staff, coordinating floor service, and supporting daily shift management.
* Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience, with attention to accuracy, basic math skills, and record-keeping.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain composure during peak hours.
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and basic health and safety procedures in a restaurant setting.
* Team leadership skills, including training support, clear instruction, and fostering cooperative teamwork.
* Basic English communication skills; additional language skills relevant to local guests are an advantage.
* Previous experience in a similar role (supervisor, head waiter, captain, or cashier) in the hospitality or food service industry is preferred.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
