EDGE Group is looking for an experienced Manager – Strategic Workforce Planning & Budgeting to establish and manage an enterprise-wide workforce planning framework aligned with business strategy, operating requirements, workforce capacity and organizational priorities.
This role will translate business strategy, workload and demand drivers into quantified workforce requirements through capacity planning, forecasting, scenario modelling and workforce analytics.
The role will also support workforce budgeting, organizational design and long-term capability planning across EDGE.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the enterprise Workforce Planning framework, methodology and governance.
- Translate business plans, projects and workload into workforce demand and capacity requirements.
- Develop workload, productivity, utilization, forecasting and workforce models.
- Conduct demand variability, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Assess workforce supply, capability gaps and future skills requirements.
- Develop Build/Buy/Borrow, internal mobility, redeployment and reskilling strategies.
- Provide workforce analytics to support organizational design and workforce budgeting.
- Analyse workforce size, mix, deployment, productivity and cost.
- Develop workforce dashboards and Plan vs. Budget vs. Actual analytics.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- 10–15+ years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, Organizational Effectiveness, Workforce Analytics, Operations Research, Capacity Planning, Resource Optimization or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related quantitative discipline. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong experience in mathematical modelling, forecasting, optimization, scenario analysis and statistical techniques.
- Experience in capacity, productivity, utilization, demand and variability analysis.
- Strong understanding of workforce budgeting and workforce cost modelling.
- Experience working in complex environments, preferably engineering, defence, manufacturing or technology.
- Consulting experience with firms such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&, Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG would be advantageous.
- Strong Excel/modelling and Power BI capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
