Join the House of AMOUAGE
Are you ready to drive financial accuracy, strengthen asset governance, and ensure effective control across the House of AMOUAGE?
We are looking for a Manager – Fixed Assets & Asset Control to lead and oversee the management, tracking, and control of the House’s fixed assets. In this role, you will ensure accurate asset records, robust control processes, compliance with accounting standards, and effective asset lifecycle management, supporting financial integrity and operational excellence across the organisation.
Your Mission
The Manager – Fixed Assets & Asset Control is responsible for the end-to-end control, accounting, and physical tracking of the Company's fixed and intangible assets across all entities and locations. This includes maintaining accuracy in the financial system (ERP), and managing the physical tracking, tagging, and verification of all assets – including assets held at customer/supplier premises worldwide. The role requires periodic international travel to customer/supplier locations to verify and control Company assets in the field.
Your Impact
Fixed Asset Accounting & Financial System Management
- Maintain complete and accurate fixed asset records in the ERP system (D365 F&O) across all asset categories for the group.
- Ensure asset master data (location, cost center, useful life, depreciation method, custodian, entity) is accurate and kept up to date.
- Process and review monthly depreciation runs and ensure correct posting to the general ledger across all entities.
- Maintain the intangible asset register (softwares, capitalized development costs, etc.), reconcile the list with IT team on regular basis and ensure appropriate amortization treatment.
- Review and process all new asset additions, ensuring proper capitalization criteria, supporting documentation, and approval are in place.
- Process asset transfers between locations, cost centers, or entities, ensuring the financial register reflects current custodianship and location at all times.
- Process asset disposals and write-offs, ensuring proper authorization, gain/loss calculation, and removal from both the financial and physical registers.
- Maintain and periodically update the Company's Asset Control Policy, ensuring alignment with IFRS (IAS 16, IAS 38, IAS 36) and internal control requirements.
- Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and approval controls are in place across the full asset lifecycle (addition, transfer, disposal).
Physical Asset Tracking, Tagging & Reconciliation
- Own end-to-end responsibility for the physical tracking of all Company assets, including existing assets already in use and all new asset additions, across offices, warehouses, retail sites, and customer/supplier premises worldwide.
- Ensure all existing assets that are not yet barcoded/tagged are identified and properly tagged, in addition to ensuring all new assets are barcoded/tagged at the point of addition, coordinating with the project team responsible for capital projects and rollouts.
- Plan and execute periodic physical verification of Company assets across all locations, including offices, warehouses, retail sites, and customer/supplier premises.
- Perform regular reconciliation between the Company's financial asset register (D365) and the physical asset tracking system, investigating and resolving any discrepancies (missing, damaged, duplicated, or unrecorded assets).
- Undertake periodic travel to customer/supplier locations worldwide to physically verify, tag, and control the assets deployed at customer/supplier premises, coordinating with local sales, retail, or distributor teams during site visits to confirm asset presence, condition, and continued business use.
Reporting, Coordination & Compliance
- Prepare periodic management reports summarizing assets by category, location, entity, and customer site, including asset movements, condition, and reconciliation status.
- Provide analysis and reporting to support budgeting, capex planning, and audit requirements (internal and external audit).
- Support statutory and internal audit requests relating to fixed assets, including sample testing and physical verification evidence.
- Act as the key point of contact with the third-party asset management company, ensuring the tracking software/platform is properly configured, maintained, and used correctly, and that any system issues are resolved promptly.
- Coordinate with the project/capex team to ensure new sites, counters, or rollouts are properly planned for asset tagging and system set-up from day one.
- Coordinate with project team on annual assessment of useful life of assets.
