We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Portfolio Management professional to establish and lead a structured portfolio management capability across complex programs, projects, strategic initiatives, transformation activities, and capital projects.
The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in enterprise portfolio governance, project prioritization, delivery oversight, risk management, and executive reporting, ensuring that organizational priorities are translated into well-governed initiatives with measurable progress and clear accountability.
This is a highly visible role requiring a professional who can build portfolio management frameworks, challenge project delivery assumptions, identify cross-functional dependencies, and provide senior leadership with reliable information to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an enterprise portfolio management framework covering programs, projects, strategic initiatives, transformation activities, and capital projects.
- Develop a consolidated portfolio register capturing project objectives, ownership, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks, and delivery status.
- Establish portfolio governance structures, stage-gate processes, approval criteria, and escalation mechanisms.
- Support portfolio prioritization and sequencing based on strategic relevance, delivery capacity, urgency, risk, and expected value.
- Review business cases and project proposals to assess feasibility, readiness, resource requirements, and implementation risks.
- Monitor portfolio delivery performance against approved scope, schedules, costs, milestones, and expected benefits.
- Identify portfolio-level risks, competing priorities, resource constraints, and interdependencies across departments.
- Develop executive portfolio dashboards, management reports, and decision-support presentations.
- Facilitate portfolio review meetings and follow up on management decisions and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project sponsors, business owners, and cross-functional teams to strengthen delivery governance.
- Support benefits realization tracking in coordination with performance management teams.
- Promote consistent project and program management practices across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Senior Manager: Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience.
- Manager: Typically 6–10+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience establishing or managing enterprise portfolio management frameworks, EPMOs, or complex program portfolios.
- Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio prioritization, stage gates, risk management, and executive reporting.
- Experience overseeing multiple cross-functional initiatives, transformation programs, or capital projects.
- Proven ability to develop portfolio dashboards, decision-support reports, and management presentations.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and executive communication capabilities.
- PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
