Manager – Business Performance & Analytics

Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Business Performance & Analytics to support business strategy, performance management, data analytics, and executive decision-making.
The role will work closely with business divisions and corporate stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable business insights, develop and maintain management dashboards, ensure the accuracy of critical billing and regulatory reports, and identify opportunities to improve overall business performance.
The successful candidate will combine strong business planning and analytical capabilities with hands-on experience in Power BI, IBM Cognos, data analysis, KPI reporting, data quality, and management reporting, preferably within the telecom sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of business strategy, planning, and performance management initiatives in alignment with corporate strategy.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex customer, product, billing, and business performance data using IBM Cognos, Power BI, and other enterprise data sources.
- Design, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards, management reports, and KPI reporting solutions.
- Analyze performance at segment, customer, and product levels to identify trends, performance gaps, business opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct detailed data quality audits, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis across multiple data sources.
- Ensure high levels of data accuracy and integrity for critical business, billing, CBO, and regulatory reports.
- Prepare and submit accurate TDRA monthly and quarterly reports within agreed timelines and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Corporate Governance and relevant stakeholders to maintain product catalogue and rate-plan consistency, including a large portfolio of active rate plans.
- Reconcile discrepancies across multiple internal systems and data sources and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Develop management-level analysis, technical briefs, and ad-hoc reports to support executive decision-making.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for improving business performance, reporting architecture, KPIs, and dashboard capabilities.
- Establish efficient data collection and reporting processes to improve the speed, consistency, and accuracy of business analysis.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data analytics, reporting, and business performance processes to support knowledge sharing and future automation/Agentic AI initiatives.
- Integrate multiple data streams into existing reporting solutions and continuously enhance reports based on changing business requirements.
- Work closely with Strategy, Finance, Technology, Governance, Commercial, and other business stakeholders to ensure consistent interpretation and measurement of business performance.
Education
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Telecommunications, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Professional certifications in Business Analytics, Power BI, Data Analytics, Finance, Strategy, or Performance Management.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in Business Performance, Business Planning, Data Analytics, Strategy, Finance, Technology, or a related function.
- 10+ years of experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in business performance analysis, KPI reporting, management reporting, and executive-level analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or IBM Cognos.
- Strong experience working with large and complex datasets, including data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience in telecommunications or another large, data-intensive organization is highly preferred.
- Exposure to regulatory reporting, billing data, product/rate-plan management, or telecom commercial analytics would be an advantage.
