Business Unit Overview

In our Tax practice, we use our in-depth technical knowledge, and our understanding of how tax fits into the broader business picture, to work with our clients to help them manage their taxation burden. We assist our clients to realize their planning opportunities and meet their compliance responsibilities across a wide range of areas, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, employment taxes, and much more.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will advise multinational enterprises, family-owned groups, sovereign-related entities and regional businesses on international tax matters, cross-border structuring, BEPS 2.0 / Global Minimum Tax, M&A transactions and tax governance.
In addition to international tax advisory work, the role includes responsibility for managing a select portfolio of corporate tax compliance engagements. We are looking for a well-rounded tax professional with broad tax knowledge, strong business acumen and the ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice rather than purely technical solutions.
Primary Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
International Tax Advisory
• Lead and manage international tax advisory projects, including cross-border structuring, holding and financing arrangements, reorganizations and M&A transactions.
• Advise clients on Pillar Two / Global Minimum Tax, tax treaty matters, permanent establishment issues and other international tax developments.
• Coordinate multi-jurisdictional engagements with KPMG member firms globally.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports and presentations.
Corporate Tax Compliance
• Oversee a portfolio of corporate tax compliance engagements.
• Review tax returns, tax provisions and related filings.
• Support clients in managing ongoing tax compliance obligations and tax authority interactions.
• Identify tax risks and planning opportunities arising from compliance work.
Client Relationship Management
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and develop strong long-term relationships.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development initiatives.
• Prepare proposals and participate in client pitches and presentations.
People Leadership
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Review work and provide technical and commercial guidance.
• Contribute to recruitment, training and talent development initiatives.
Qualification and Experience
• 6–10 years of relevant experience for Manager level.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience for Senior Manager level.
• Strong Big Four background in international tax advisory.
• Experience managing client relationships and leading project teams.
• Exposure to the Middle East or GCC region is advantageous.
• Strong international tax knowledge.
• Good understanding of corporate income tax compliance and reporting.
• Exposure to BEPS, Pillar Two and cross-border structuring.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with practical implementation considerations.
• Strong business and commercial acumen.
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong people leadership and relationship management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and practical manner.
• Team player with a hands-on attitude and willingness to support the broader practice.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Arabic is preferred; however, it is not mandatory.
