About The RoleThe Maintenance and Reliability Manager at Global Cellulose Fibers’ Riegelwood Mill will be responsible for the overall safety and leadership of the Maintenance and Reliability department. The individual will partner with hourly and salaried employees to build an engaged team culture that improves safety and reliability.
Duties/Responsibilities
- * Build a culture of preventive and precision maintenance that strengthens equipment care, improves reliability, and reduces unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
- Lead the maintenance and reliability teams to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, engagement, and overall effectiveness.
- Improve operational performance and product quality by achieving key performance indicators, including unscheduled downtime, reliability incident costs, and Manufacturing Work Systems (MWS) metrics.
- Champion sustainable adoption and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Work Systems (MWS) processes.
- Provide maintenance and reliability expertise for new equipment purchases and major modifications to existing equipment.
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies and plans that meet safety, reliability, and cost commitments.
- Set departmental goals, objectives, and performance measures aligned with mill priorities.
- Build organizational capability through employee development, workforce planning, and departmental succession plans.
- Prepare and manage maintenance and capital budgets, and determine the appropriate allocation of major construction and maintenance work between contractors and internal teams.
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
- 5+ years of relevant maintenance or operations management experience
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
