Locatie: Venlo
Salary: €4.450- €6.650
Our client is an international manufacturer of professional printing systems. Most of the consumables and expendables for its printers (inks, toners and related products) are produced in-house in its factories in the Venlo region. The site has a wide variety of factories, processes and equipment, which makes it a real playground for anyone with a technical mindset.
The factories are at different technical and economic stages, and each stage brings its own challenges. In the new ink factories, the focus is on scaling up and adding functionality. In other plants, the job is to keep production running for many years to come at the lowest possible cost. The production lines use high-tech equipment and a range of techniques. Examples include micro-precision technology, coating processes in clean rooms, and medium-sized process installations for producing toner and ink.
What you'll do
As a Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance of one of these production lines. You are responsible for the factory's technical uptime, both now and in the future. You roll out the full Value Driven Maintenance approach: Asset Utilization, Cost Control, SHEQ control and Capital Allocation projects.
Alongside these broad technical responsibilities, you bring electrical engineering knowledge and hands-on experience with line control systems (PLC/SCADA/industrial automation). You support the Technical Services team, mostly technicians, in analysing and solving complex breakdowns. The goal is to keep downtime to a minimum and increase hands-on tool time.
You define and roll out effective preventive maintenance strategies, and you advise on capital projects to keep the production lines running reliably. You work closely with the service contractors for the machines. You also work with fellow Maintenance Engineers, Equipment Engineers, Production Engineers, Quality Engineers and Procurement Account Managers. You spot risks and problems early and look for smart, structural solutions. Throughout your work, you pay attention to safety, the environment and company standards.
Who you'll work with
You will join the Equipment Engineering & Technical Services department, which handles maintenance and asset management for the production facilities. The department has about 60 employees. Roughly 30 work in Technical Services (including Maintenance Engineering) and roughly 30 in Equipment Engineering.
What you bring
You take initiative and focus on solutions, and you think analytically and critically. You plan and organise your work well. You are a natural networker who builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You also bring:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field
- At least 5 years of experience as an engineer in an industrial production or process environment, including experience with maintenance
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, process technology and process installations
- A strong background in electrical engineering and experience with line control systems (e.g. PLCs, SCADA, sensors, drives, industrial automation)
- An interest in data analysis and excellent analytical skills
- Knowledge of Beckhoff and/or Siemens automation (including PCS7 DCS) is an advantage
